Shift pattern – 4 on 4 off (4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off)

The company

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading engineering technology business who are giants within industry 4.0.  Our client, who specialise within intralogistics, material handling and system integration for the warehousing industry work with blue chip companies across Europe to provide automation and residential maintenance support. The company, who turnover north of 700 million euros has been operational since the 1950s. However, with the need and rise of automated machinery our client has grown significantly over the last 20 years, becoming a supplier of choice of high-end automated solutions. A need has arisen for a maintenance engineer to join their team at their automated site in the midlands. 

 

About the role

As a maintenance engineer, you will be responsible:

-        Completing ppm

-        Reacting to breakdowns and completing remedial repair work

-        Maintenance, process improvements and project work

-        Faulting finding electrically and mechanically on various types of equipment onsite

-        Managing health and safety

This would be on automated plant machinery, including 3 phase equipment (415v), conveyors, shuttle systems, high bay cranes, robotics, lifting systems and other PLC driven equipment.

 

About you

As a maintenance engineer you should have the following:

  • Strong maintenance experience, ideally from working within an automated environment, however, other environments such as armed forces will be considered.
  • Fantastic fault-finding ability, with the ability to fault find to conclusion.
  • Recognised engineer qualification (Level 3).
  • The ability to work within a proactive nature.
