A fantastic contract opportunity has arisen to join a growing engineering business that supplies high-value technologies worldwide. The site produces complex, precision products using modern manufacturing methods and continues to expand due to strong demand. You'll join a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values initiative and problem-solving. In return, you'll receive an hourly rate of circa 40 p/h (likely outside of IR35), flexible working hours, an early Friday finish, some working from home, and the opportunity for an extended contract.
NPI Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include -
- Lead New Product Introduction projects, ensuring smooth transfer of new products into production.
- Create and maintain manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and process documentation, keeping ERP data accurate.
- Support feasibility and manufacturability reviews for new and existing components.
- Provide day-to-day engineering support to production, helping resolve process and material issues.
- Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing methods and documentation.
- Support root cause analysis, process validation, and engineering change integration.
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Design Engineer, NPI Engineer, or similar.
- Confident using 3D CAD software to interpret and manage engineering drawings.
- Solid understanding of mechanical principles and modern manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and strong communication skills.
- Hourly rate of circa 40 p/h (Likely outside IR35 / IR35 friendly).
- Opportunity for a contract extension after 6 months.
