Role: Mechanical Engineer
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Salary: £40,000 per annum with call out rates.
Type: Permanent
A fantastic opportunity has become available with Trevett Services to work with one of our largest clients. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a busy facilities management team based at a client site in Burton on Trent. This is a permanent, full-time role covering planned and reactive maintenance tasks, working on a range of heating, air-conditioning, and associated mechanical systems.
Duties:- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on Heating & Air-Conditioning systems
- Maintain and monitor Evaporative Cooling Systems and Domestic Water Systems (L8 compliance)
- Diagnose and repair plant faults and defects to ensure continuous operation
- Keep accurate service and maintenance records
- Complete risk assessments and method statements for all tasks
- Work safely and professionally, maintaining excellent working relationships with on-site teams
- City & Guilds Level 3 Mechanical qualification or equivalent
- Experience maintaining pumps, motors, valves, and Cooling Towers
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
- Previous experience in a facilities management or building services environment
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg, work at heights, and use access equipment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Positive, reliable, and calm under pressure
Desirable:
- Certification in Maintenance & Operation of Evaporative Cooling Systems
- Experience working on client-resident sites
