A fantastic opportunity has become available with Trevett Services to work with one of our largest clients. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a busy facilities management team based at a client site in Burton on Trent. This is a permanent, full-time role covering planned and reactive maintenance tasks, working on a range of heating, air-conditioning, and associated mechanical systems.

Duties:
  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on Heating & Air-Conditioning systems
  • Maintain and monitor Evaporative Cooling Systems and Domestic Water Systems (L8 compliance)
  • Diagnose and repair plant faults and defects to ensure continuous operation
  • Keep accurate service and maintenance records
  • Complete risk assessments and method statements for all tasks
  • Work safely and professionally, maintaining excellent working relationships with on-site teams
Requirements:
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Mechanical qualification or equivalent
  • Experience maintaining pumps, motors, valves, and Cooling Towers
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
  • Previous experience in a facilities management or building services environment
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg, work at heights, and use access equipment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive, reliable, and calm under pressure

Desirable:

  • Certification in Maintenance & Operation of Evaporative Cooling Systems
  • Experience working on client-resident sites
