Are you a passionate quality leader ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We’re looking for an experienced QA Manager to lead the Quality Assurance function at a key production site, driving excellence in food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

As QA Manager, you’ll be responsible for setting the QA strategy and leading a dedicated team to ensure the highest standards of product quality and safety. Reporting directly to the Site Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in audit readiness, customer relationship management, and fostering a proactive quality culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing QA team across multiple shifts.
  • Ensure audit readiness and compliance with BRC, HACCP, and GMP standards.
  • Act as the primary contact for customer quality matters, driving issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee QA checks, verifications, and documentation across all operational areas.
  • Manage supplier non-conformance reporting and root cause analysis.
  • Drive quality risk management and trend analysis to support proactive decision-making.
  • Lead complaint reduction initiatives through data-driven strategies.
  • Champion a ‘right-first-time’ culture and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Monitor QA KPIs and report performance to site leadership.
  • Support training, onboarding, and capability building within the QA team.
  • Promote a strong food safety and quality culture across departments.
About You

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience in QA management within food manufacturing or a regulated production environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of team development and performance management.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, BRC, GMP).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and non-conformance handling.
  • HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 (or equivalent).
