M - F DAYS 7am till 3pm or 8am till 4pm
WEEKEND WORK 1 IN 3, DAYS OFF THEN IN THE WEEK.
31,920 - 37,620 (Inc. Benefits Package)
Benefits:
- Shift pay - 5% (this may potentially change)
- Holidays - 25 days plus bank hols (rota will include some bank holiday working but not Christmas day or boxing day)
- Pension - 8% matched Pension + benefit envelope extra 3080 - 3630 on top
- Bonus - site bonus based on factory performance averages about 4%

A Global Manufacturing company, are currently looking for a new Wastewater Plant Operator to add to their current Engineering team. This company are enjoying a period of growth due to the nature of their products with in a stable industry. They are open to Engineers of differing levels of experience that are happy to contribute their skills to their existing working force.
Working from their manufacturing base locally to Burton on Trent, you will have the chance to be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance on their fast-paced production machinery and being responsible for running your shift.
Role Description
- Quality - Ensure that all SOP for operation and maintenance of the system is undertaken in accordance with schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, and annually), working safely, keeping the area in the right standard and keeping the paperwork up to date.
- Improvement - Actively identify and deliver improvement opportunities, to drive a cost-effective operation and maintenance of site utilities and facilities, improving our Safety, Health, and Environment metrics.
- Communication - Communicate problems, solutions, and options clearly and succinctly to relevant people within the factory.
- Flexibility - Flexible and proactive supporting the team when priorities demand.
- Spotting and finding any faults in the mechanical and pneumatic machinery and getting to the root cause of a problem quickly
- Assisting in the identification of the critical control points on the machine modules, ensuring that they are able to be inspected according to the correct procedures
- Working on high tolerance machinery, improving the performance of it by developing maintenance tasks
- Developing any training and experience you already have in World Class Manufacturing tools and technique
- Performing risk assessments as appropriate
Skills and Qualifications
- You will have had previous experience working in wastewater treatment systems, both in the operation and basic maintenance.
- Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the factory team
- Demonstrated high performance within current role
- Have a can-do attitude
- Enthusiasm to operate in a role that evolves and changes with technology
- Experience in using World Class Manufacturing tools and techniques, such as Kaizen and 5W1H, (although again, if this isn't the case, we can help you develop in this area)
