What's in it for you?
40k to 45k basic salary
25 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising to 28 over time)
Overtime and site uplifts available
Hybrid working with flexible start and finish times
12pm finish on a Friday.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for performing all aspects of hardware and software design, development and implementation for PLC based control/Scada systems,
You will expand system design by writing functional design specifications (FDS)
You will write factory and site acceptance test documentation before carrying them out with client representatives.
You will write method statements and work package plans to enable site works to commence.
You will carry out site testing and commissioning and liaising with other interface parties.

Based near Burton-upon-Trent, our client is a market leader in the provision of detailed engineered
solutions for safety, control and automated applications in the rail industry.
What projects will you be working on:
Automatic Selective Door Opening and Correct Side Door Enabling systems.
Specialist CCTV cameras for Driver Only Operation and Pantograph Monitoring
Train Control and Management Systems, Train Communication Networks, Vehicle Control units; Vigilance Control Systems.
SCADA projects - station and trackside
Customer Information Systems
Level Crossing control and signalling control systems
What you'll need:
You'll have experience programming, testing and fault finding on PLC/HMI/SCADA control systems, preferably in the rail industry (or similar regulated industry).
You'll have an understanding of electrical system drawings, including GA's, Wiring Schematics and Termination Diagrams
You'll have covered the full project lifecycle.
