Maths Tutor | Burton upon Trent (DE14) | Up To 180 Per Day | Long-term to Permanent | ASAP Start

An outstanding FE College is seeking a motivated Maths Tutor to join the Faculty of Mathematics. You'll deliver high-quality teaching across a range of maths courses (Functional Skills and GCSE) and play a vital role in supporting learners to achieve excellent results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging maths lessons.
  • Support learners in achieving their qualifications and targets.
  • Provide constructive feedback and track learner progress.
  • Prepare students for exams, assessments, and practical maths applications.
  • Coordinate and book assessments across all maths courses.
  • Maintain high standards in the delivery of all maths programmes.
  • Keep up to date with curriculum developments, assessment specifications, and best practice in maths education.

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine passion for teaching maths and inspiring learners to achieve their potential.
  • Strong maths knowledge, with higher-level qualifications in mathematics.
  • Experience in Secondary and FE teaching is advantageous, but enthusiasm, adaptability, and a learner-focused approach are equally valued.
  • Highly organised, flexible, and committed to supporting students' progress and confidence in maths.
  • Ability to create engaging, accessible lessons that make maths relevant and enjoyable for all learners.
