Progress Teachers are currently seeking to recruit a Behaviour Mentor to work in a fantastic primary school in the Swadlincote area of Burton, of Derby.

You will be working with pupils across KS2 who have additional SEND Needs and can display challenging behaviour. You will work 1-1 as well as supporting pupils in the classroom.

The ideal candidate will be professional and passionate about SEND / SEMH and supporting children with additional needs and being fully able to adapt themselves to meet each individual needs, including excellent behaviour management.

We focus on long-term and permanent employment, meaning that you return to the SAME school every day, therefore offering consistency not only to staff, but for the students also, with often this resulting in you transferring across onto schools contract.

Requirements:

  • The ability to create a happy, challenging, and effective learning environment.
  • Helpful, positive, calm, and caring nature.
  • Excellent speaking and listening skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
