TREASURY ASSISTANT
UP TO �40,000 p/a
FULL TIME, PERMANENT
BURTON ON TRENT, STAFFS (Predominantly remote)
Hamilton Woods are actively recruiting a Treasury Assistant for a FTSE50 listed business in Burton on Trent that will predominantly provide support to the Treasury team due to additional workload.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Treasury bank reconciliations - Prepare daily bank reconciliations and input journals to ensure that the movements in the Treasury bank accounts are recorded accurately. Investigate and document reconciling items, resolving queries in a timely manner.
- Treasury deals - Confirm all external deals with counterparty banks prior to payment being made.
- Ensure payments are made accurately, on time and in accordance with policy and controls.
- Treasury reporting - Generate reports from Kyriba (Treasury Management System) or create using Excel. Distribute as appropriate and maintain the files.
- Other Treasury Processes - Provide cover for other members of staff and complete project/other work as directed by the Treasury Accounting Manager (including completing accounting checks).
- Help internal, SOX and external auditors with gaining information from the treasury department files and from the banking counterparties, including year-end audit confirmations and bank credit ratings.
- Look for process improvements and automation of processes.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- AAT qualified or actively studying - Part qualified Accountant desirable.
- Accounting process experience (accounts payable/receivable, cash management, treasury etc)
- Compliance experience would be advantageous.
- High level of Excel knowledge, able to use Macros/VBA/Pivot tables/VLOOKUP's.
