NXTGEN are thrilled to be partnering with a forward-thinking Accountancy practice in Bury St Edmunds to recruit a Senior Cloud Accountant for one of their growing teams. As Senior Cloud Accountant, you'll be joining a dynamic and experienced team in a modern office environment, working closely with approachable & experienced Partners. You'll be the go-to for your portfolio of clients, providing hands-on support with their day-to-day finance operations, including bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT, and cash flow forecasting. You'll also take the lead on system reviews and implementations, helping clients get the best out of their digital accounting tools.

You'll be a key and valued member of the team, supporting junior staff and collaborating with Senior staff to resolve any technical or complex queries. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bookkeeping tasks for a portfolio of varied and fast-growing clients
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and cash flow reports
  • Oversee all transactional duties, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Work closely with an experienced and highly thought of Partner, supporting on high value clients as well as with complex client queries
  • Assist with cloud accounting reviews and implementation projects
  • Support and mentor junior team members

What We're Looking For:

  • QBE (who has extensive experience in either Accounts or Cloud Accounting), AAT qualified or working towards ACCA
  • Experience working in an accountancy practice
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing roles
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
  • A passion for cloud accounting, eagerness to develop and takes pride in the quality of their work.
