We are working on behalf of a well-established company based in Bury St Edmunds who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be supporting the finance department with daily operations and ensuring the smooth running of their business.

Key Duties:

  • Processing invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Assisting with payroll and expense claims.
  • Reconciling bank statements and supplier accounts.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Update cash book.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • At least 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Sage usage is essential.
  • Bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organisation, and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team.
