Location: Bury St Edmunds
Salary: 40,000 - 45,000

We're looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer to join our fantastic client's team in Bury St Edmunds, supporting the installation, servicing, and repair of machinery.
This is a field-based role working directly with customers to deliver technical support, training, and maintenance. The position includes regular UK travel and occasional overseas trips (some up to two weeks).
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and maintain machinery at customer sites.
- Provide operator training and ongoing technical support.
- Troubleshoot issues both on-site and remotely.
- Accurately complete service reports and documentation.
- Participate in a call-out rota for emergency support.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to plan service visits.
- Be available for weekend callouts and emergency phone support on a rota (1 in 5 weeks)
Skills & Experience Required:
- Qualified (or with equivalent hands-on experience) in mechanical and electrical engineering.
- Proven experience in installation, commissioning, and field service work.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Willing and able to travel across the UK and occasionally overseas (including trips of up to two weeks).
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to continue developing technical knowledge and skills.
