We're looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer to join our fantastic client's team in Bury St Edmunds, supporting the installation, servicing, and repair of machinery.

This is a field-based role working directly with customers to deliver technical support, training, and maintenance. The position includes regular UK travel and occasional overseas trips (some up to two weeks).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, service, and maintain machinery at customer sites.
  • Provide operator training and ongoing technical support.
  • Troubleshoot issues both on-site and remotely.
  • Accurately complete service reports and documentation.
  • Participate in a call-out rota for emergency support.
  • Coordinate with customers and internal teams to plan service visits.
  • Be available for weekend callouts and emergency phone support on a rota (1 in 5 weeks)

Skills & Experience Required:
  • Qualified (or with equivalent hands-on experience) in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Proven experience in installation, commissioning, and field service work.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Willing and able to travel across the UK and occasionally overseas (including trips of up to two weeks).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to continue developing technical knowledge and skills.
