A progressive and technology-driven accountancy practice is seeking an organised and detail-focused Bookkeeper to join their team. Working with a variety of clients, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial data using leading cloud platforms. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending client interaction with precision bookkeeping and thrives in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, real-time bookkeeping records for multiple clients.
  • Process and code invoices, reconcile accounts and manage expenses.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC requirements.
  • Maintain depreciation schedules and fixed asset registers.
  • Produce management reports when required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and greater use of digital tools.
  • Support and guide clients to meet deadlines and adopt best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with internal managers and the digital support team.

Personal Requirements

  • Experience using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Cloud and Dext (or similar).
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to advise and encourage clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of VAT, management reporting and fixed asset registers is advantageous.
