Electricity Engineer-Policies and Standards

47,000 plus car/car allowance plus standby allowance

Are you an Electrical Engineer with experience in the Electricity Distribution sector looking for an interesting and important role within a large, national utilities infrastructure company.

The role may suit an Engineer who has been hands on in the sector wanting to utilise their technical skills and sector in a fresh and new position.

The role involves little travel and can offer 2 days/week working from home.

The position will focus on developing update of technical standards and policies, relating to the construction and operation of electricity networks, with a strong focus on health and safety compliance.

The Role

  1. Full time, permanent position for a large, national utilities infrastructure company.
  2. Develop technical standards and policies for the design, construction and delivery of network projects, with specific reference to Inspection & Maintenance activities
  3. Ensure standards are complaint with all the legislation, including Health and Safety matters
  4. Represent the business at industry standard groups including with the Energy Networks Association


The Person

  1. HNC Electrical Engineering or above
  2. Experience in electricity distribution systems
  3. Understanding of the relevant health & safety legislation in the electricity distribution industry
  4. UK driving licence
