We’re Hiring: NPI Engineer (Suffolk)

Location: Suffolk | Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (Depending on Experience)

Recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering business, we are looking for a skilled and motivated NPI Engineer to support the growth of an innovative manufacturer based in Suffolk. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company, playing a key role in the development and introduction of new products into production.

You’ll be working across commercial, quality, and operations teams — as well as directly with key customers — to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently, to spec, and on time.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead feasibility reviews with cross-functional teams to improve designs and manufacturing methods

Design and develop tooling for efficient production processes

Carry out CMM measurements and prepare PPAP documentation

Perform full visual inspections for ISIR submissions, including weld and paint evaluations

Collaborate with the operations team on continuous improvement projects

Act as a point of contact for customer manufacturing/design queries

Support the development, testing, and approval of prototypes

Assist with maintenance and improvement of current jigs and fixtures

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

Minimum 3 years' experience in engineering/fabrication

Strong ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking skills

Desirable:

CMM operation experience

3D CAD skills or qualifications

Familiarity with PFMEA, DFMEA, control plans, and risk management

Experience with APQP/PPAP processes
