Hours: Monday - Friday 7.00am - 16.30pm
Duration: 3 Months with the possibility of further work.
The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a heavy industrial mechanical fitter to join the facilities engineering division, supporting a major facilities maintenance contract in Bury St Edmunds, IP32 7BB.
Duties
As a suitably qualified and experienced heavy industrial mechanical fitter with you will be assisting with the installation of plant and ancillary metalwork at a food production facility in Bury St Edmunds. Typical duties will include working alongside pipe fitter welders and fabricator welders to install pipework, gantries, walkways, machine guards, brackets, supports and secondary steel work. Other duties will include removing, repairing then replacing conveyor rollers, bearings and shafts along with assisting other mechanical fitters as necessary.
About you
Based ideally in the Suffolk you will need to live within a commutable distance of IP32 7BB.
Demonstrable experience of mechanical fitting within a heavy industrial environment ideally with some pipe installation would be an advantage.
