Then this could be the role for you.  A Top 60 Practice firm, based in Ipswich are looking to add a Payroll Assistant to their enthusiastic and hardworking team. The role will involve running several payrolls for a wide range of clients, including retail, charities and education, and ranging from single director companies, all the way to several hundred employees.As a Payroll Assistant you will: 

  • Complete the whole payroll processing from start to completion for a range of clients. 
  •  BACS payment processing. 
  • Resolving any client questions, whilst maintaining strong relationships throughout.

As a Payroll Assistant you will need: 

  • To be able to work in a methodical manor, with excellent attention to detail throughout. 
  • A competence of Microsoft Office - especially Word and Excel.
  • A high level of understanding in (Auto Enrolment pensions, Statutory Accounts, Holiday Pay entitlements, Minimum wage legislation, Basic understanding of HR law).
  • A confidence when working with clients and 3rd parties. 
  • A good level of judgement when identifying situations that need managerial interventions.
