The role
We have been engaged to recruit a Head of Technical Compliance as our client seeks to ensure their continued success.  This post will play a central part in the development of the firm’s compliance and risk strategy, whilst maintaining their excellent operational procedures.
You will have the opportunity to set the firm’s compliance strategy, develop implementation plans, and oversee their execution while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and facilitating change management.
You will collaborate closely with the Audit Committee, Audit Compliance Partner, and Managing Partner, receiving full support in executing your responsibilities effectively. The tasks expected to be undertaken include:
- Develop and put into operation the firm’s compliance strategy and ensure its effective execution.
- Lead on all areas of compliance and risk management, ensuring regulatory adherence and operational excellence.
- Manage and coordinate resources involved in compliance activities, including the Compliance team and Responsible Individuals.
- Ensure effective communication on all areas of compliance, ensuring adherence to the firms compliance requirements
Travel to offices across the country will be required but it is anticipated that once settled, this will reduce to an annual requirement for each office, considerably less than a traditional QAD role.
The successful applicant
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you have proven experience in a technical or compliance role within professional services or associated regulatory body. Â You will demonstrate sound experience conducting file reviews, audits, and managing compliance processes, and possess strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change and implement strategic initiatives.
The post will require a strong comprehension of ICAEW and FRC ethical and regulatory requirements.
