Receptionist / Administrator

Are you a customer focused individual who consistently works to a high level of service?

We are supporting an established company based in Bury St Edmunds with recruiting for a Receptionist / Administrator on a permanent basis. This role offers a competitive salary (DOE), and the hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. This is an office-based position with free parking on-site.

Duties will include:

  • Responsible for the Reception area and being the first point of contact for visitors entering the office, ensuring they have signed in correctly
  • Notifying relevant person about visitor arrival, ensuring that all visitors are greeted and accompanied into the building by a member of staff
  • Answering telephone calls in a professional manner providing a warm and professional service
  • Logging calls and monitoring the teams telephony system
  • Managing meeting rooms ensuring rooms are booked correctly, kept presentable and provide refreshments to visitors and internal staff
  • Assisting with ordering equipment and stationery when required
  • Supporting with other ad hoc administration duties, such as franking documents, post duties, and scanning and filing
  • Taking payments over the phone and in person, including Bank cheques and BACs receipts payments
  • Completing Anti Money Laundering checks and ensuring client records are completed correctly
  • Assisting with Health and Safety compliance for the office; including testing fire alarms
  • Setting up inductions for new starters, including arranging their desks/workstation and office supplies, and training on office procedures
  • Providing ad hoc support to other departments such as copy and audio typing, filing, scanning, archiving when required

You must have previous Reception / Administration experience to be considered for this position and have a positive attitude and approach to work. You must be a strong communicator who is highly organised with strong attention to detail, and good knowledge using different IT systems (used MS365 applications, such as Word, Excel, Forms, SharePoint, Lists, Planner) however full training will be provided.
