Role: Management Accountant

Location: Bury

The role will be a mixture of working from home, based at several client sites and in the office, therefore a car owner is essential.

Our client based on the outskirts of Bury are looking to take on an experienced Management Accountant to manage their own portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for providing clients with key data & analysis as well as managing the work of junior members of staff.

Duties of the management accountant role:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, cashflow summaries, including balance sheet reconciliations and departmental P&Ls.

• Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance.

• Assisting with budgets and forecasting.

• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet items and external loan balances.

• Manage group recharges.

• Oversee quarterly VAT returns.

• Contribute to the development and documentation of finance processes.

• Supporting more junior members of the team.

• Other tasks and projects as required.

Key Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification and / or hands on experience. AAT / CIMA part qualified as a minimum.

• At least 3 years of Accounting Practice or Industry experience.

• Experience in highly acquisitive, with strong attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, confident in handling company financial issues and liaison with Seniors.
