We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team in a friendly 32-bedded residential care home. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents, while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and cook meals in line with residents preferences and dietary requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene standards and maintain a Better Food, Safer Business approach in the kitchen.

  • Manage ordering, stock control, and rotation to minimise waste and maintain freshness.

  • Work closely with the care team to adapt menus to individual dietary needs.

  • Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and organised at all times.

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping in line with regulatory requirements.

  • Work a full-time rota, with every other weekend off.

Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a cook, preferably in a care, residential, or healthcare setting.

  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and catering for special dietary needs.

  • Ability to work independently and manage kitchen operations.

  • Organised, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality meals.

  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher) desirable.
