We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about helping others grow and who brings creativity, commercial awareness, and a genuine love of learning to their work. You’ll have strong experience in Learning & Development, with the confidence to lead engaging initiatives and turn strategy into meaningful development opportunities. Naturally organised and approachable, you’ll combine solid facilitation and project management skills with a collaborative, people-focused approach. You’re proactive, full of ideas, and able to influence and inspire others at every level. Confident with digital learning tools and technology, you’ll ideally have experience with LMS systems and eLearning platforms such as Articulate. A CIPD qualification or equivalent experience would be a real advantage.

Salary: £30,500 – £36,500 per year
Hours: Full time, fixed-term contract (until January 2027)
Location: Hybrid – 3 days office-based in Bury and 2 days remote (with flexibility to support business needs)

What you’ll do
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging training sessions and learning content that support both behavioural and technical growth.
  • Lead on leadership and management development programmes, empowering people leaders to reach their full potential.
  • Work closely with the wider people team to build a strong learning culture, developing competency frameworks and supporting succession planning.
  • Partner with the L&D Manager to shape and deliver an annual training calendar that aligns with business goals and supports continuous improvement.
  • Support colleagues with their Personal Development Plans, ensuring learning opportunities are accessible, relevant, and impactful.
  • Coordinate external training providers and evaluate the effectiveness of all learning activities.
  • Create engaging eLearning content and champion learning platforms to make development part of everyday life.
  • Deliver inspiring onboarding sessions to ensure every new starter feels supported and excited about their journey.
  • Provide coaching support for colleagues up to management level, helping them to grow in confidence and capability.
