Designer

Greater Manchester - Office based

Do you want to be part of a business seeing significant growth? This is an exciting time to join my client, a supplier of apparel to the UK High Street and Online Retailers.

You will be joining the business as Designer and will be responsible for creating and developing innovative garment designs or sock designs.

Candidates with the following experience will be considered:

  • Nightwear
  • Ladieswear
  • Kidswear
  • Socks / similar

The role will include designing a range for each season, liaising with buyers, factories and merchandisers to ensure the products come in correctly. Checking samples against design, lab dips, labelling etc

The Designer will also keep up with fashion trends, attend design meetings, and present ranges

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in design
  • Knowledge of Easy Knit Software is a plus
  • Experience with creating technical drawings and collaborating with production teams
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current fashion trends and ability to adapt designs accordingly
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
