We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Bury that is seeking a confident and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team starting ASAP.



Job Details:

  • Position: Teaching Assistant (KS1)

  • Location: Bury

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, term-time only)

  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications



Role and Responsibilities:

As a Teaching Assistant in KS1, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who need additional support

  • Assist with phonics, literacy, and numeracy sessions

  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Promote pupil development and well-being as a valued Teaching Assistant



The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in KS1

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach

  • A passion for supporting children's education and development

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
