Are you an enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting young people in a mainstream secondary school setting?

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bury that values learning, engagement, and student development. The school supports pupils of all abilities and offers opportunities to assist in lessons, encourage independent learning, and help students thrive academically and socially.

This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with teenagers, building positive relationships, and supporting a variety of learning needs in a mainstream classroom environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students in classroom lessons on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
    * Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
    * Help students with SEN or additional learning needs as required.
    * Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and confidence.
    * Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
    * Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
    * Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    * Interest in supporting students' academic and personal development.
    * Experience in a secondary school setting is beneficial but not essential.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
    * Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply
    * Provide two professional, child-related references covering the last two years
