We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive IT Technician to join our school's support team. The successful candidate must be able to start immediately, have previous experience working in a school environment, and hold relevant IT qualifications and a degree.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive school where you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all technology runs smoothly to support teaching, learning, and school operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and students across the school

  • Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems

  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of classroom technology, including interactive whiteboards, printers, and projectors

  • Monitor and manage the school's IT helpdesk system

  • Ensure data security, backups, and network integrity are maintained

  • Support the implementation of new systems and software as required

  • Liaise with external IT support providers when necessary

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an IT Technician in a school setting (essential)

  • A relevant IT degree (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology) and up-to-date industry qualifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft certifications)

  • Strong understanding of school IT systems, including SIMS, Office 365, and network infrastructure

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively

  • Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable manner
