Occupational Therapist - Adult Social Care

Locations: Hybrid Working - Bury / Hybrid Working

Pay: 35 per hour (umbrella rate)

Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: 3 months initially (potential for extension)

Our Local Authority client are recruiting a locum Occupational Therapist for their Adult Social Care Service in Bury.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for individuals receiving packages of care to ensure high-quality occupational therapy interventions.
  • Support people to live safely and independently within their homes.
  • Facilitate timely and safe hospital discharges through effective care planning.
  • Apply expertise in single-handed care, moving and handling techniques, and the provision of equipment and home adaptations.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to develop tailored care solutions.

Requirements:

  • A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of working with older people and people with mental health or physical disabilities.
