Bury Council are seeking a skilled Plumber to undertake all plumbing and relevant multi-skilled works on buildings managed by or worked on by the local council, as well as other properties as directed. This role is ideal for individuals who are not only experts in plumbing but also possess a range of other trade skills.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Carry out all plumbing tasks and related multi-skilled works efficiently across various properties.
  • Re-use part-used materials and ensure the disposal of waste is in accordance with the appropriate sorting requirements, focusing on recycling materials wherever possible.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments of tenant-reported repairs, providing detailed information to planners to facilitate timely and effective repair solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Plumber.
  • Capable of handling multiple skilled tasks including small joinery work, fitting shower trays, boxing in, tiling, patch plastering, and applying Dot & Dab to walls.
  • Strong diagnostic skills to assess and resolve issues promptly.
  • Commitment to sustainable practices, including the effective recycling and disposal of materials.
