Brownlee Cale arelooking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical installation and maintenance works on civil engineeringprojects across the Northwest. Working on a CIS self-employed basis, you will be responsible for managing site teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification, and within agreed timescales.

Key Duties

  • Supervise mechanical installation and maintenance works on water treatment and pumping stations.

  • Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to deliver works to design, spec, and programme.

  • Ensure compliance with site health, safety, and environmental requirements.

  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments.

  • Monitor quality of workmanship, carrying out inspections and reporting progress.

  • Liaise with project managers and other supervisors to resolve site issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of works, permits, and site documentation.

Skills & Experience Needed

  • Strong background in mechanical works within the water or utilities sector.

  • Previous supervisory or foreman-level experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Good communication and organisational skills.

  • CSCS card (gold or above preferred).

  • SSSTS/SMSTS certification (advantageous).

  • Confined space, EUSR or water hygiene training (advantageous).

  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within the Northwest.

  • UTR number and ability to work under CIS.
