Brownlee Cale arelooking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical installation and maintenance works on civil engineeringprojects across the Northwest. Working on a CIS self-employed basis, you will be responsible for managing site teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification, and within agreed timescales.
Key Duties

Supervise mechanical installation and maintenance works on water treatment and pumping stations.

Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to deliver works to design, spec, and programme.

Ensure compliance with site health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Review and interpret mechanical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments.

Monitor quality of workmanship, carrying out inspections and reporting progress.

Liaise with project managers and other supervisors to resolve site issues.

Maintain accurate records of works, permits, and site documentation.
Skills & Experience Needed
-
Strong background in mechanical works within the water or utilities sector.

Previous supervisory or foreman-level experience.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
-
Good communication and organisational skills.
-
CSCS card (gold or above preferred).
-
SSSTS/SMSTS certification (advantageous).
-
Confined space, EUSR or water hygiene training (advantageous).
-
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within the Northwest.
-
UTR number and ability to work under CIS.
