Digital Installation Team Leader

North England

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Are you passionate about cutting-edge machine control systems and ready to play a key role in transforming the construction industry? We’re looking for a Digital Team Leader to join our client’s growing Digital Division.

This role is perfect for someone with experience in GPS-based machine control, digital construction technology, or plant equipment engineering who enjoys both hands-on installation work and building lasting customer relationships.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Install, calibrate, and support Trimble Earthworks, Leica MC1, and other machine control systems on-site and in depots.
  • Deliver technical training and guidance to engineers, operators, and customers.
  • Provide breakdown support and proactive account management for key clients.
  • Carry out system repairs, servicing, and calibration (liaising with manufacturers where required).
  • Assist with stock checks, on/off hire orders, and equipment tracking.
  • Fit and calibrate wiring harnesses, sensor brackets, and mast mounts.
  • Support wider digital innovations, including safety camera systems, height/slew restrictors, and human recognition technologies.

What we’re looking for:

  • Background in machine control, plant engineering, surveying, or digital construction systems.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
  • Confident communicator who can build strong working relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Practical experience with electronic systems, hydraulics, or plant machinery is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, safety-conscious, and adaptable approach to work.
