Support the class teacher in the delivery of lessons and learning activities.
Work with small groups or individual pupils to support their learning and progress.
Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources.
Encourage positive behaviour and support children's social and emotional development.
Help monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Supervise children during playtimes, lunchtimes, and on educational visits as required.
Contribute to the general care and welfare of pupils.
Follow school policies, including safeguarding and health & safety.
Person Specification
Essential:
Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience of working with children in a primary school or early years setting.
Good understanding of how children learn and how to support them effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative when required
