Senior Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Bury and Burnage
Salary: £33,592* - 40-hour workweek, with an hourly rate of £13.15, plus two sleep-ins per week (£60 per sleep-in).
About Our Client:
Our client provides caring, stable, and nurturing homes for children and young people aged 8 to 17 at the time of admission, offering medium to long-term residential care in partnership with local authorities. Their ethos is to create a safe, accepting environment where each young person can grow, thrive, and develop the skills needed to become productive members of society.
Our client is seeking experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Workers to join their established teams at homes based in Bury and Burnage.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience working in similar residential settings.
Manual Driving Licence
A relevant qualification, such as:
Level 4 Diploma in Children, Young People, and Families Practitioner
Level 4 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce
NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care Childcare
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support and supervision to children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional needs are met.
Develop and implement personalised care plans for each child.
Foster positive, trusting relationships through active listening and communication.
Assist with daily activities, transportation, and recreational outings.
Maintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory standards.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to deliver the highest quality of care.

Sleep-ins are not guaranteed or contractual but are allocated fairly based on the needs of the young people.
