Flux Consulting have partnered with a well-established Consultancy who have a passion and strong expertise in working on educational projects. We are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join the team and you’ll be based in and around the area of Bushey, Hertfordshire.

As a key member of the estates team, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the academy’s buildings and infrastructure. You will oversee condition surveys, compliance, refurbishment projects, and long-term estate planning to ensure a safe and inspiring learning environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities Of This Role To Include;

  • Conduct condition surveys and compliance assessments across the estate
  • Lead and manage refurbishment, maintenance, and capital projects
  • Provide professional advice on building fabric, statutory compliance, and sustainability
  • Work closely with external contractors, consultants, and local authorities
  • Develop and implement estate improvement strategies aligned with educational needs
  • Ensure all work meets health, safety, and safeguarding regulations

The Ideal Applicant Will Possess;

  • Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership (highly desirable)
  • Proven experience in building surveying, ideally within the education sector
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, planning, and compliance
  • Experience managing projects, budgets, and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
