An "Outstanding" Secondary School in Hertfordshire / Bushey is on the hunt for a Lead Practitioner of English for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time, and permanent position.
What will the role of Lead Practitioner of English entail?
- Raising attainment, and quality of learning across KS3-KS4 - KS5 Is an additional option

- Leading from the front, oozing passion & enthusiasm towards English!
The Head Teacher is keen to find an enthusiast who can take the Schools English curriculum & department to the next level. You'll be given full support from SLT while the freedom to make changes where needed.
You'll be joining a School with a HUGE list of achievements over the past 10 years, while being surrounded by peers who generally want to make a difference daily. There's no pointless / outdated teaching or marking methods - EVERYTHING makes sense.

- Lead Practitioner Scale - £50,000 - £75,000
- Located in Hertfordshire / Bushey
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Must have high standards for yourself & colleagues
- Proven record of outstanding teaching
- Real passion towards English
- Willingness to lead from the front
- Must have UK QTS
- Graded "Outstanding" or "Good" in recent lesson observations
