Salary: £34,398 – £46,839 (dependent on experience)

A friendly and community-focused primary school in Bushey is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher for a long-term role starting in January 2026. This position is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about creating inspiring, structured, and engaging learning experiences for young children.

• Teach a cheerful and motivated Year 2 class, fostering confidence as they progress through KS1

• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that support all learners

• Deliver high-quality teaching in key areas including reading, writing, maths, and SATs preparation

• Promote positive behaviour and create a calm, nurturing learning environment

• Track and assess pupil progress, using data to inform planning and provide targeted support

• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

• Contribute to the wider school community, team collaboration, and enrichment opportunities

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching in KS1 (Year 2 experience desirable)

• Strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment expectations

• Excellent organisation, communication, and behaviour management skills

• A positive, proactive mindset and a passion for supporting young learners

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
