GSL Education are delighted to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic Play Leader to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Southampton, Hampshire. This role is perfect for those who enjoy working with children and are committed to ensuring their well-being after the school day.

Role Overview:

As a Play Leader, you will play a vital role in supervising and engaging with pupils after school. Your duties will involve organising and overseeing play activities, ensuring the safety and happiness of all children and promoting positive social interactions in a friendly and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise children in playground and other designated areas
  • Organise and facilitate engaging and inclusive play activities
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support children in developing social skills
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by addressing minor first aid needs and reporting concerns as necessary
  • Help to maintain a clean and tidy environment 
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to provide a seamless transition with pick up time
