Senior Quantity Surveyor - Derby

Senior Quantity Surveyor - An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor in the Nottingham/Derby area. We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to deliverhigh-quality construction projects across a range of sectors.

Duties:

  • Lead the commercial management of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring cost control and value maximization.

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contract documents, subcontracts, and procurement strategies in line with project requirements.

  • Collaborate with project teams to monitor progress, forecast project costs, and manage risk and change effectively.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment, preferably on large-scale commercial or residential projects.

  • Strong working knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract and excellent contractual awareness.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and mentor junior surveyors, with strong analytical and communication skills.
