SRG are working with a leading, family-owned manufacturer of janitorial, hygiene, laundry, and home care cleaning products based in Derbyshire. They are now seeking an experienced Formulation Chemist to join the team. You will play a key role in developing, formulating and improving a wide range of cleaning products, leading product development projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing technical support to both internal teams and customers. This opportunity is ideal for someone with 2-3 years' experience in formulating and developing janitorial, hygiene, laundry, and home care cleaning products.

Working Hours: Monday -Friday, 39 hours per week, 20 days holiday + 8 Bank Holiday, Xmas shut down from 24th December to the 2nd January. Flexible start and finish times available

Role / Description

• 
  Drive innovation by developing and testing new cleaning product formulations across Industrial, institutional and laundry cleaning products.
• 
  Lead projects from concept to launch, ensuring products meet high standards.
• 
  Collaborate with R&D, production, and sales teams for seamless product delivery.
• 
  Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
• 
  Source and assess raw materials, staying updated on industry trends.
• 
  Maintaining manual, semi-automatic and analytical laboratory equipment
• 
  Support regulatory compliance and product quality investigations.

Requirements

• 
  Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or related Scientific discipline.
• 
  Proven industrial experience formulating and developing HI&I Chemicals
• 
  Personal attributes - adaptable, proactive, attention to detail, communication, can work well in a team and is solution-focused.
