About the Role
As an ALN Support Assistant, you’ll be part of a dedicated team helping pupils reach their full potential — both academically and personally. You’ll provide tailored support in the classroom and during wider school activities, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
- Assisting with personal care and promoting independence and confidence.
- Supporting teaching staff in creating an engaging, nurturing learning environment.
- Implementing behaviour support plans and communication strategies.
- Using manual handling techniques safely and effectively where required.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a similar role within education or care (e.g. community care, support work, personal assistant, or home help).
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive attitude.
- Knowledge of manual handling procedures (training can be provided).
- An Enhanced DBS (we can help you obtain this if needed).
- EWC registration (we’ll guide you through the process if you’re not yet registered).
Why Join Us?
- A welcoming and supportive school community.
- Opportunities for ongoing professional development and training.
- The chance to make a lasting difference every single day.
- Flexible placements across a network of inclusive, high-achieving SEN schools.
If you’re ready to bring your skills, heart, and energy to a rewarding new role — we’d love to hear from you!
