Position: Welder
Salary - Between 34,000 - 37,000
Hours: Mon - Thurs 7:45 to 16:45, Friday 7:45 to 12:450
Location: Chippenham
Contract Type: Permanent


Key Duties & Responsibilities

Always follow company Health & Safety procedures and wear the correct PPE (overalls, gloves, welding masks, steel-toe boots, etc.)

Set up and operate MIG and TIG welding equipment safely, using local fume extraction (LEV) within 300mm of welding

Work within Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and accurately record settings on job sheets

Operate other production machinery (training provided where necessary)

Keep your workspace clean and hazard-free for yourself and others

Support and guide new team members as needed

Handle materials safely, including forklift operation (subject to training)

Adhere to quality control standards (EN1090.1 & ISO9001) and job route card instructions

Undertake additional training as required

Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed

About You

Proven experience with MIG and TIG welding (essential)

Strong knowledge and application of Health & Safety in the workplace

Ability to read and follow technical instructions and job sheets

Flexible, adaptable, and open to training or new responsibilities

Team player with good communication skills and willingness to support others

Forklift truck licence desirable (training can be provided)
