About the Role

A reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounts Manager is required to manage day-to-day financial operations and support leadership with accurate financial reporting and planning. This full-time, office-based role offers the flexibility to work remotely one day per week. It’s well-suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, values work-life balance, and wants to make a meaningful contribution to a growing and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily bookkeeping activities using Xero
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate financial records
  • Maintain and update cash flow forecasts using provided templates
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Assist with VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Oversee payroll data, including payroll journals, PAYE, and National Insurance
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and tax planning
  • Contribute to budgeting, financial planning, and system improvements
  • Manage credit control by following up on overdue payments and ensuring healthy cash flow
