A firm of accountants based in Cambridgeshire are looking to recruit a job opportunity for a Practice Accountant. The job is commutable from locations such as Cambridge, Newmarket, Ely, Bury St Edmunds, and more.

To an extent, the role can be moulded to suit the successful applicant, and salary will be dependent on experience, with Junior and Senior applicants being considered. The firm are open to both part-time and full-time applicants.

Accountant - Cambridge

This role is across the accounts and tax aspects of your clients affairs to give the client a comprehensive service.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Year-end accounts preparation both for on-line clients and those using other systems, for review by a Senior Accountant
  • Prepare first draft of computations and tax returns for companies, sole traders and partnerships for review.
  • Prepare VAT returns for review
  • Prepare simple personal tax returns for company directors for review
  • Monitor performance vs. budgets for clients.

This firm are generally office based – but for the right candidate will allow some home-working.

They are very happy to consider part-time as well as full time and to arrange a job share for the right candidates.

This firm can support further training for candidates who wish to develop their skills and work towards a more senior role within the firm.
