We are looking for a resourceful all-round administrator who has ideally worked in student administrations. You will need to be able to use their own initiative to be able to support a number of studentship trust funds and funding programmes.
Role outline
This position includes organising committee meetings, including invites, agendas and papers, plus drafting and circulating minutes and following up on action points. The post holder will also be responsible for administering committee applications and the maintaining accurate records.
The team extensively use of online meetings, record keeping and collaborative authoring and file sharing, so you need to be familiar with the use of such tools.
This role is part-time until March 2026 and will be offering hybrid working.
Duties
- Support the recruitment of students to the funding programmes including organising interviews, drafting offer letters and maintaining all records.
- Assist the Funding Programme Manager in the maintaining financial records relating to the trust funds and studentship grants including updating internal and external databases, analysis of funding use data, calculations of changes for individual students
- Communicate and deal with enquiries as well as resolving any queries from external stakeholders.

Person Specification
- Experience in administrative support roles is essential
- Experience in Student Admissions is highly desirable
- Ideally have worked in University so will have knowledge of their internal IT systems
- Experience of financial record keeping or be numerate and comfortable working with financial and numerical information
- Ability to learn quickly and use initiative to develop solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including mail merge and pivot tables
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to work alongside experienced and senior staff
- Excellent organisational skills
