Job Opportunity: Customer Service Specialist (Account Operations)
Location: Bar Hill, Cambridge
Type: Full-Time | Temp with the possibility going into a Permanent position
Hours: Monday to Friday with a 12:30pm early finish every Friday
Salary: £27,000 + Excellent Benefits

Are you a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join a growing team within a cutting-edge manufacturer supplying to the global semiconductor industry.

In this role, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end order process, collaborating across departments to ensure customer satisfaction, accurate order delivery, and operational excellence.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships via email and Teams

  • Manage order processing, PO amendments, reworks, returns, and repairs

  • Liaise with Production and Purchasing to manage time lines, shortages, and escalations

  • Raise credit/debit notes and update SAP/CRM systems

  • Maintain accurate pricing, customer data, and BOM/drawing records

  • Process and update customer order books and quotations

  • Support with sales forecasting, job costings, audits, and stock take

  • Attend production meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders

  • Proactively identify solutions and flag potential issues to your line manager



About You:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Proven background in customer support or sales admin

  • Self-motivated, solutions-focused, and a great communicator

  • Confident with Microsoft Excel (essential)

  • Experience with SAP or within a manufacturing environment (desirable)

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings is a plus

  • Comfortable working independently and within cross-functional teams
