Our client, a renowned and respected engineering consultancy, is looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Cambridge. This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of exciting structural projects while gaining hands-on experience and mentorship from industry experts.

Brief outline of responsibilities:

  • Carry out structural calculations using hand methods and design software
  • Prepare and submit drawings and calculations for building control approval
  • Assist in producing specifications, working drawings, and technical reports
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design
  • Assess existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs or modifications
  • Work within Health & Safety and environmental regulations at all times
  • Contribute to project reporting and communication with project teams

About you:

  • Degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Up to 12 months of experience
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Strong teamwork ethic
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and willing to learn and grow
