Senior Architectural Technician

A renowned architectural studio in the heart of Cambridge is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to join its award-winning, RIBA-chartered team. Known for its design-led ethos and technical precision, the practice delivers high-quality commercial, residential and mixed-use developments across the UK. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate comprehensive technical drawings and specifications, particularly across RIBA Stages 4-6
  • Collaborate with architects and project leads to ensure seamless delivery of design intent
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical challenges and ensure quality outcomes
  • Support team coordination and mentor junior technicians as required
  • Maintain compliance with current UK Building Regulations and industry standards
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is highly desirable

Required Experience & Skills:

  • HNC/HND or degree in Architectural Technology
  • Extensive UK-based experience in a technical role within an architectural practice
  • Strong technical detailing and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering complex projects
  • Sector experience across residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes
  • Excellent communication and team coordination abilities
  • CIAT membership or working towards accreditation is advantageous
