Senior Architectural Technologist

Location: Cambridge

Salary: 42-50,000

A leading design practice is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join its team in Cambridge. This is a full-time, on-site role that offers the opportunity to take a leading role in the delivery of high-quality projects across a variety of sectors. The Senior Architectural Technologist will be responsible for coordinating technical design and ensuring project delivery to the highest standard. They will combine strong technical knowledge with design awareness, working closely with clients, consultants, and colleagues to deliver well-resolved solutions. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and support project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of projects from concept through to completion

  • Prepare and coordinate detailed design, working drawings, and specifications

  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, standards, and legislation

  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to achieve successful project outcomes

  • Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to a positive and collaborative studio culture

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architectural Technology or a related field

  • Chartered Membership of CIAT (or working towards) preferred

  • Strong technical skills with proven experience in design and project delivery

  • Proficiency in industry-standard software and BIM processes

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities

  • Experience across sectors such as education, industrial, or residential (beneficial)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
