Caretaker / Maintenance Operative - Cambridge6 Months FTC - £24,961 per annum (pro rata)

This Cambridge based organisation is looking for a Caretaker / Maintenance Operative / Handyperson to join the team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.
You'll be part of a friendly, supportive team with a role that offers variety every day. If you're someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and enjoys solving practical problems, this could be a great fit.
What you'll be doing:
- General maintenance across the site - from plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating, to grounds and pathway upkeep
- Supporting office moves, furniture assembly and small installation jobs
- Escorting and working alongside contractors
- Ensuring fixtures, fittings and equipment are safe and in good working order
- Seasonal upkeep of the building and grounds
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in building or facilities maintenance
- A recognised qualification within the construction industry would be a real advantage
- A flexible approach - priorities can change quickly, so adaptability is key
- Someone happy working both independently and as part of a small, supportive team
- Good communication skills - you'll be interacting with a wide range of people on site
