We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Risk Assessor to join our growing fire safety team, covering Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties. This is an excellent opportunity for a competent assessor looking to work with a professional, supportive company that values quality and compliance.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out fire risk assessments across a varied portfolio of premises, ensuring compliance with current fire safety legislation and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting fire risk assessments in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

  • Producing clear, compliant, and well-structured FRA reports

  • Identifying fire hazards, evaluating risk, and recommending practical control measures

  • Liaising professionally with clients, duty holders, and managing agents

  • Keeping up to date with fire safety legislation, standards, and guidance

  • Managing your own workload and diary efficiently

About You

Essential:

  • Proven experience carrying out fire risk assessments

  • Relevant fire safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Fire Certificate, IFE Level 3 or 4, or equivalent)

  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Membership of a professional body (IFE, IFSM, IOSH, etc.)

  • Experience with a range of premises (residential, commercial, HMOs, care, education, etc.)
