Rate: 拢30-拢40hr depending on experience
Contract Type: Outside IR35
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Length: 3 months minimum - likely to extend to 6 months or longer
Location: Cambridge (office attendance required 2-3 days per week)

We are seeking an experienced Highways Technician with a strong background in transport and highways engineering to join our team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of highways and active travel projects, with flexibility and long-term potential.

Key Responsibilities:
路Preparation and review of highways and transport technical designs
路Detailed design and drafting for Section 278 and Section 38 schemes
路Application and interpretation of DMRB standards and LTN 1/20 guidance (cycling infrastructure design)
路Producing and checking technical drawings, layouts, and CAD models
路Supporting project managers and senior engineers in the delivery of highways schemes from concept through to construction
路Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, and design teams
Essential Skills & Experience:
路Significant experience working as a Highways Technician in the UK
路Strong knowledge of highways design standards including DMRB, Manual for Streets, and LTN 1/20
路Proven track record delivering s.278 and s.38 schemes
路Proficiency in AutoCAD and related highways design software
路Understanding of active travel, cycling schemes, and sustainable transport design
路Excellent attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
